Forging Forming

Forging is a manufacturing process in which a metal billet is heated to a malleable state and then shaped and resized through striking, compressing, or extruding. During the forging process, the metal is subjected to high temperature and high pressure which refines its grain structure and enhances its mechanical properties. The advantages of forging includes product density, compact structure, high mechanical strength and high precision. It is commonly used to produce high strength, high quality metal components such as automotive engine parts, aircraft propellers and tools.
