Lost Foam Casting

Strongwell as a mold design team for FMC (Full Mold Casting), the process begins by assembling wax or foam patterns that closely resemble the final casting's dimensions and geometry. After applying and drying a refractory coating, the model is embedded in dry quartz sand and compacted through vibration molding.
Under vacuum condition, molten metal is poured into the mold, causing the foam or wax pattern to vaporize. The liquid metal then fills the cavity left by the evaporated model, solidifies, and cools—forming the final casting. This method represents an innovative approach to precision casting, offering high dimensional accuracy and reduced post processing.
